A Message to our Travel Family

Updated: May 12, 2020

Dear Adventure Caravans Travel Family,

2020 started as a year full of exciting news for Adventure Caravans: we celebrated our 26th anniversary as a company and did so with many exciting projects in the pipeline. A short while later, as you well know, we have all been forced into facing an unexpected invisible enemy; COVID-19.

We have all found ourselves in unprecedented circumstances. One thing we have learned during our 26-year history is that our company would not be what it is today without our travel family. You have always been our highest priority and, as such, we have always ensured that we remain committed to taking care of our guests and staff, especially during extremely difficult times.

As of Monday, May 11, 2020, our office was authorized to reopen. We have remained vigilant in monitoring this situation on a daily basis, and ask that you please understand our phone and email response times are taking longer than normal. We are working diligently with our vendors to get updated and accurate information. As most of you are aware, not all States are fully open and operational. Several RV parks and campgrounds, restaurants, museums, event venues, and attractions, etc., have not been authorized to fully resume business as normal, and we are finding ourselves at their mercy in regards to response times which has impacted us in providing you with timely updates.

Let me now share with you the details of our planned measures going forward to ensure the utmost safety within our tours.

Safe Tours
On behalf of Adventure Caravans, Inc., we want to inform you that we are implementing the instructions and recommendations of the White House, along with local authorities in the states and countries where we travel.   Our objective is to continue to go above and beyond and, in addition to ensuring compliance, we are raising our standards in terms of safety, quality, health, and hygiene, by incorporating these new standards and protocols. These implementations will ensure that we continue to maintain excellence in the product and service that characterizes us and that our tours are safe environments where our guests and staff are protected and cared for.

Among these measures, we would especially like to highlight the following:

Cleaning, Disinfection, and Protection: We will reinforce the cleaning and disinfection of each communal area, event space, and staff work area; as well as transport vehicles, and the objects of common use.

Social Distancing: We will ensure that a safe social distance is respected and maintained while on tour. This distance will be monitored especially in the areas where there may be a greater concentration of people, such as restaurants, museums, and enclosed spaces.

Restaurants and Food & Beverage Safety: As always, several meals are included on our tours. We’ll continue to work to ensure you have the flexibility to dine as you wish: together as a group or on your own. It’s your choice. In general, for now, we’ll avoid large groups together at tables and will socialize however you feel safe and comfortable.

In Closing

On behalf of myself, and my entire Adventure Caravans team, we want to thank you for your invaluable support, and commitment during this complicated time for everyone. As of today, May 13, 2020, our August, September, October, November, and December tours are filling up and at this time we are still scheduled to go.

We understand that the decision to travel is a personal one. What matters most is that you feel comfortable, and there are many factors that determine that. Some are within our control and some simply are not, but we believe that traveling in your personal RV with Adventure Caravans is particularly well-suited to these unusual times. Of course, whether you’re traveling the world or sheltering in place, life is never completely risk-free, and fear of travel is not a covered event under our contractual vendor agreements. Which is why only you can decide what’s right for you.

We continue to remain hopeful that this will all pass very soon.

Warm Regards,
Tina Poole
